From the shores of Lake Huron known as the Sunrise Coast, to the pristine nature areas in the interior and the historic agricultural sites and museums that are part of our Michigan communities, Alcona county will delight visitors in every season of the year.
Purpose
The Alcona County Chamber of Commerce is a business association striving to promote its members and the business community.

There is no greater message in the world of commerce than the one that encourages consumbers to spend locally and enrich the local economy by putting dollars back into the area in which residents live, work and play.
Goals
Businesses and professionals support partnerships for a robust community. Creating an environment in which business can prosper. Members working vigorously on committees of their choice. Members provide inspiration and guidance on emphasis for county leaders. Active partnership in driving the counties economic growth.

Bay to Beacon Half Marathon 10K and 5K

This event is a half-marathon course along the beautiful Lake Huron coast in Alcona county, Michigan. This race features two state parks at the start and finish lines. Northern Michigan's lake and Native American history abound as participants begin their course at Negwegon State Park and finish at the historic Sturgeon Point Lighthouse. This event also hosts a 10k distance race and 5k distance race. The 10K and and 5K will begin and end at the Sturgeon Point Lighthouse.

Come to downtown Harrisville on October 9 from 11 am-2 pm. Games for kids, treats down main street, live music and lots of fun to be had! This is the same weekend the State Park holds their Halloween shenanigans! Come visit beautiful downtown Harrisville, take a horse drawn carriage ride, play games with your children and grandchildren, prizes, a pumpkin hunt and more!
